10.00 am       Flag raised to half-mast

11.45 am       Assemble in Albert Street – adjacent to RSL Clubrooms

12 Noon        March to Cenotaph led by Melbourne City Pipe Band followed by Master of Ceremonies, Mr. G Townsend, Dignitaries and Members

12.15pm        Arrive at Cenotaph.
Welcome by Master of Ceremonies.
All upstanding for arrival of Catafalque Party

12.20 pm       Address by

12.25 pm       Address by

12.30 pm       Address by

12.35 pm       Master of Ceremonies – Invitation for laying of wreaths
 
12.40 pm       All upstanding  - “The Ode” - To be read by G. Townsend

12.42 pm       The “Last Post” Bugle Call – 1 minute Silence

12.44 pm       ‘Reveille’ Bugle Call as Flag raised to the masthead

12.45 pm       All remain upstanding as Catafalque Party dismount.

12.47pm        Master of Ceremonies leads March back to Clubrooms.

MEMBERSHIPS

There are three forms of RSL Membership which provide for use of all facilities and activities:

Service: Returned and ex-Service personnel.

            Please note: Visiting serving ADF members are             accorded automatic temporary membership.

Affiliate: Relatives of ex-Service personnel, Police, Fire & Emergency Services personnel & ex-personnel.

Social: Open to the General Public


Community Membership allows entry to the RSL for residents within a 5 km radius of the RSL as provided in Victoria's gaming regulations.

Persons living within this radius MUST BY LAW become members to use the RSL's facilities. This membership classification does not permit entry to the Members Bar unless as a guest of a Service, Affiliate or Social RSL member.

 

HOW TO APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP

  • SERVICE & AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP      

Complete a Membership application form for Service or Affiliate Membership.  Attach copies of any papers relating to your service history, which prove your eligibility for Service Membership or in the case of Affiliate Membership, copies of any papers relating to your relative's service history, which prove your eligibility for Affiliate Membership. (If your relative is alive, they will also need to sign the form, otherwise write "deceased" where it asks for eligible persons signature). Then drop your application into the Club.

SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP

Complete a Social Membership application. Drop it into the Club and ask the staff to introduce you to some of the Members. You will need to be nominated and seconded by two Service or Affiliate Members, then submit the form.
